The differences in the information available are: AGE--Eve (Decker) Deal b. Abt. 1770, Eve Ann (Decker) Julius b. Abt. 1795; If Elizabeth (Unknown) were born Abt. 1855, then either Eve Deal or Eve Julius could have been a daughter; also, both were alive when Christopher Decker wrote his will in 1807. TIMELINE--Dates of Christopher Decker's land transactions in North Carolina: bought 29 Dec 1792; sold 3 Nov 1802. Eve Ann Decker was born Abt. 1795 in Pennsylvania. It is unlikely that Chrictopher Decker and wife Elizabeth (Unknown) were in Pennsylvania during a ten-year period, when he was buying and selling land in North Carolina. MARRIAGE PLACE--Eve Decker & William Deal were married Abt. 1798 in Lincoln County, NC. Eve Ann Decker & Jacob Miller Julius were married 31 Jan 1815 in York County, PA. CHILDREN'S BIRTH PLACE--The first three of Eve Deal's children (John, Andrew, & Joseph) were born in Lincoln County, NC. None of the children of Eve Julius were born in North Carolina. The first three were born in Pennsylvania; the others were born in Pittsylvania County, VA. It appears from the evidence above that Eve Ann Decker and her husband, Jacob Miller Julius, never lived in North Carolina. Thus Eve Decker, wife of William Deal, must be the daughter of Christopher Decker, Sr. of Lincoln County, NC.

Abt. 1775).] "Lincoln, NC: Christopher Decker free white males: one under age 10, one 10-15, one 16-25, one 26-44; free white females: one under age 10, one 26-44, one 45+" On the same sheet for 1810, there were four William Deals, two George Deals, and one Jacob Deal, all apparently living near each other. Review of census information about the Deal families in Lincoln County, North Carolina: In the 1790 Census, there was one Jacob Deal; in 1800 two George, one Jacob, one Peter, and two William Deals; in 1820 one John, one Peter, one Solomon, and one William Deal; in 1830 two Deal widows, one David, two George, two Jacob, one John, one Matthias, one Simon, and two William Deals.
