Marriage Record "On the 3 August 1819, also in the Redruth parish register is recorded the marriage of Rosamond Penrose and Samuel Cardoza. At the time Rosamond was a spinster and a minor and she was married by license with consent of Richard Penrose, brother and guardian of Rosamond in the presence of Anna Hornblower and Richard Penrose. This brother Richard is the one who on the 1st of July 1822 Married Matilda Sims and they became the parents of Charles W. Penrose." Census records for Samuel and Rosamond spell the name "Cardozo."
