"Mrs. E. Ridgway, Brazil Resident Many Years, Dies
Wife of Former Custodian of Courthouse Passes Away at Home; Funeral Tuesday
Mrs. Ella Hadley Ridgeway, age 69, wife of James Ridgeway . . . died at her home at 8:00 o'clock Saturday night after four months illness.
The deceased woman was born in Asherville, daughter of Albert and Jane Killian Deal, but had lived in Brazil for many years. The husband, James, was employed for several years as custodian at Clay Courthouse.
She was a member of the First Christian Church and the Loyal Womens Club, and V.F.W. Auxillary.
The family survivors are the husband, two sons, and a daughter, one sister, eight grand-children, and four great-grand-children."
