Cyrus Redding, author



Cyrus Redding was a prolific journalist, historian and novelist. He moved to London about 1806. In June 1810 he was one of the founders and editors of the West Briton and Cornwall Advertiser. He edited several journals and publications. From 1814-1819 lived in Paris and traveled in France.

Critics considered his best book to have been History and Description of Modern Wines, London, 1833. An edited and updated version is still available in paperback.

Books by Redding available on Google Books include a book about shipwrecks, a travel guide to Cornwall, and several volumes of his memoirs.
