  Bernie Dorin's comments: Jack was the fifth and youngest of the Dorin boys. I once told a friend that we could have had our own basketball team, but we wouldn’t have any bench strength (in jest, because we were all too short), and his reply was “But you would all be first string”. I thought we were. This is telling on my mother, but I think she would forgive me. By the time Jack came along, I think she was a little jealous of her twin sister, Bessie. Ma yearned for at least one daughter, and Bessie had four! She never made us wear dresses. Jack played the tenor saxophone, and started working with local bands while in high school. After a stint in the Army as an M.P., Jack returned to Chicago and married ROSEMARIE, his high school girlfriend. After a while they moved to Torrance, California. The marriage produced four more Dorins: Donna4, Denise4, Dennis4, and Delise4. (I think there’s a pattern there!).
