"John Ambrose Thomas was married to Mahala R. Yount, in
1832, whose descendants are E. B. Thomas, Mary E.
Straughan, J. W. Thomas, America Ellen Thomas (died in
infancy) and John Ambrose Thomas, the latter being
located in Monroe County, near Paris, MO. The remaining
members of the family are located in Shelby County, Ky.,
partly on the same land originally purchased by Oswald
Thomas."
