      "HAVENSVILLE REVIEW, 10 MARCH 1922:

      Minerva Fields was born January 13, 1842 in Grant County, Indiana, died March 6, 1922 at the hospital in Shattuch, Oklahoma at the age of 80 years, 1 month, 20 days.

      She was united in marriage to Lewis Jontra February 22, 1862. To this union were born nine children, two having died in infancy and one daughter, Mrs. Rosa Godlove December 29, 1905; she leaves two daughters, Mrs. Mollie Wright of Saffordville, Kansas and Mrs. Ellen Stevens of Gage, Oklahome, also four sons, Chas. Henry and Jesse of Gage, Oklahoma, and Fred of Havensville.

      In 1868 she with her family moved near Topeka, Kansas after living there one year they moved to Holton, Kansas and in a short time moved near Onaga, Kansas where they lived most of the time until her husbands death November 24, 1916, after which with the exceptions of a few months, she has been with her children in Oklahoma. She united with the Baptist church in 1864 and in 1877 she and her husband united with the Christian church of this city where as much as possible she attended and worked with the people here. She was ever ready to more than do her part to help in any way to add to the comfort of others

      Besides her children she leaves seven brothers and one sister, 42 grand children and 21 great grandchildren and a host of friends. She was in Shattuck the day of her death, went about the city shopping and started home with her son, Chaarles and wife, when taken suddenly ill and was taken to the hospital where she only lived four hours. Interment was made in the Havensville cemetery by the side of her husband."
