Verne Woodrow, aged fifty-two, died suddenly of heart trouble about nine o'clock Sunday evening at his home on South Washington Street. Mr. Woodrow had not felt well Saturday but his condition was not considered serious, and he had taken a walk Sunday afternoon. A heart attack seized him Sunday evening and he died before a physician could reach him. Mr. Woodrow came to Bloomfield from Clay County with his family several years ago. For the past four years he had been employed at Showers Brothers. He is survived by the widow, Ruby Parsons Woodrow, and two daughters, Ruthmary, age sixteen, and Betty Rose, age thirteen. He is also survived by two brothers, Walter, of Terre Haute, and Wiley, of Nashville, Tennessee."
