1900 and Southern Ireland in Fermoy, County Cork cc 1905 - 1911.Returned to Colchester and Lichfield until the outbreak of the GreatWar. Fought on the Somme, Normandy, France 1914-18 war . Was gassedand hospitalised for six months in Chester until passed fit for dutywhen he returned to France on active service. Finished service asRegimental Quartermaster Sergeant of the 2nd Battalion DLI. after 30years service
