"This photo is me, circa 1997, I think. The picture was taken in the hallway just outside the newsroom, and if I'm right on the timing, it was taken the summer before my editorship with the university paper. I don't even know who took the picture, but I like it. This is how I looked in college, almost always in workout clothes and a ponytail. I was either coming from the gym, going to the gym, going to my Physiology classes or spending the day at Sidelines. Whatever the case, it was the same everyday."

"Writing has been a lifelong passion of mine, and after my first semester on the college newspaper staff I realized that Id rather tell stories than report the news. After graduation, I worked in the non profit world before choosing to work from home - with two little boys in tow - writing a column for eight years in the Chattanooga Times-Free Press. As a recent transplant to the Texas Panhandle, writing for Amarillo Magazine has been the best introduction to this city a girl could ask for. When Im not writing, Im running, cooking, or burying my nose in a book."

"Launched in July 2009, Amarillo Magazine has a circulation that reaches 30,000 through in-home distribution in the Texas Panhandle. The AM audience is diverse, married and single, professional and cultured, and interested in the ongoing events around town."
