- Territorial Pioneer:
At age 6 came to Utah from Liverpool, leaving 31 Mar 1855, on the ship "Juventa" under
the direction of William Glover, arriving at Philadelphia 5 May 1855 and from there going by rail
to Pittsburgh and then by steamboat to St Louis,Missouri. Outfitting themselves at Florence Nebraska
then crossing the plains by ox-team with the Richard Ballentyne Company arriving in Salt Lake City
as the fourth company of emigrating saints that season, 25 Sep 1855. (See LDS Church Chronology
